Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Design and develop best-in-class motor control systems for a variety of industries and applications. This includes testing electric vehicle propulsion systems, maximizing oil production with artificial intelligence at the well, optimizing metal forming, dynamic automotive testing, and delivering precision control systems for a wide range of applications in the converting industry. As a Systems Design Engineer, you will understand the type of system the customer needs and determine from a high level what components, circuits, motor controls, and power electronics are necessary to provide the required power for their applications. These systems can operate with horsepower in the thousands and voltages up to 460 or 720 volts.

Responsibilities

• Design motor control and test system solutions, including the creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams, and Electrical schematics.
• Develop electrical and mechanical drawing packages for industrial motor control and battery testing/simulation systems optimized for size and ease of manufacturing.
• Verify conformance of components and systems to customer specifications.
• Complete load, voltage, amperage, and heat calculations to ensure proper design.
• Create system bill of materials.
• Work with Purchasing and Vendors to evaluate alternate components and systems.

• Ability to perform high-level load, voltage, power, and amperage calculations
• Experience with the design of motor control and test systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BSEE or Engineering Degree in Electrical Field
• 3 years of experience specifying components and systems used in electrical designs

Work Environment

The work environment offers some flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days per week, depending on project needs. Occasionally, you may be required to be onsite 5 days a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00

Incentive Plan = In this role you will qualify for participation in the All Hands Incentive Plan that will provide you with a discretionary bonus opportunity up to 5% of your annual base salary, prorated based on your hire date.
