Description:
The repair technician is a project based role that will be solely focused on organizing, troubleshooting and repairing materials that have failed production tests, documenting the repair, and following the process to move materials back into production.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies as needed down to the component level
• Perform rework/repairs on products (SMT, through-hole, and technology down to 0201 package size and 0.50 mm pitch) to IPC-A610, Class 2.
• Quality Focus/Continuous Improvement
• Must maintain a quality-first mindset and be process-oriented
• Able to gather and analyze repair data
• Ability to use electronic test equipment such as a digital multi-meter and oscilloscope
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing test environment, with component-level troubleshooting, and with the rework and repair of printed circuit board assemblies
• Knowledge of reading schematics, production processes, and quality control operations is required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Microsoft Office: Word & Excel required and Salesforce a plus
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• AA, AS degree in Electronics Engineering, technical school, or equivalent work/military experience
• Soldering experience with IPC7711/7721 Standard knowledge a plus
• 3 years of troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment to the component level
• Medical device manufacturing experience a plus but not required
