Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will implement software solutions while maintaining high programming standards. You will engage in reverse engineering of existing code to extend, port, modify, or develop fixes. Understanding the software architecture is crucial for supporting the root cause analysis and resolution of defects. This role involves direct interaction with customers to capture and document emergent requirements and proposals. You will work under the guidance of Senior Team Members, UX/UI Designers, and Test Engineers to ensure the maintenance of our high-quality software standards.
Hard Skills
- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Strong problem-solving skills for defect reproduction, root causing, and defect fix
- 3 years of experience in software delivery using C and C on embedded systems
- Experience with Build/Make frameworks like CMake and Ninja
- Familiarity with automotive UI development, coding methodologies, and testing strategies
- Experience in Agile environment
- Proficiency with C 11 and C
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, YAML
- Experience with OpenGL would be very nice to have!
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as GHS, QNX, ThreadX, FreeRTOS, Linux, Android
- Knowledge of resource limitations of embedded systems
- Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub)
- Ability to decompose requirements into feature test specifications and test steps

Work Site

The work environment is highly collaborative with a project team size ranging from 5-40 people. The office in Colorado Springs hosts about 35 people and offers an open and collaborative atmosphere.
