Description:
At Vision Products, LLC, we specialize in the design, development and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art display systems for military and commercial applications. Our products and technologies include Head or Helmet Mounted Displays and other human-machine interface devices.
We are looking for a Support Electro-Opto-Mechanical Technician to assist in the assembly and development of advanced head-mounted displays for defense and medical applications. Responsibilities include, (but are not limited to) building and testing complex opto-mechanical assemblies, using a microscope to inspect optics for conformance, and performing rework SMT PCBAs.
The ideal candidate would have experience writing assembly and test procedures, debugging PCBAs, and have the ability offer suggestions improve the production process and yields.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience as a technician working with high precision mechanical and optical assemblies
• Experience working in a clean-room environment
• Able to understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Competent using a microscope for inspection, cleaning, and rework
• Soldering and rework of 0201 size components
• Familiarity using test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, colorimeter)
• High attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Associate’s degree in a related technical field from an accredited school
