What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Software Support position at Actalent?
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position is primarily responsible for providing software support and will be part of an on-call support rotation to troubleshoot and resolve customer reported technical and operational issues. Additional duties include some software QA testing and travel for onsite implementation.
*Candidates will be doing remote diagnosis and working with customers over the phone more than in person
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide customer support to help assist with operational and system issues
• Take ownership of technical issues, working with our Development group to
resolve more advanced issues when necessary
• Resolve escalated customer complaints with minimal need for team lead
intervention
• Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
• Review source code as necessary for troubleshooting
• Participate in providing training to customers as required
• Take responsibility for multiple tasks in multiple projects
• Participate in after-hours on-call customer support rotation
• Ability to travel approximately 25% of the year to support customer
implementation

Qualifications
-Complex troubleshooting experience
-Writing and reading SQL queries
-Linux command line (ssh, scp, grep, less, head, tail, etc)
-Writing or reading scripting languages (Python, PHP, Perl, etc)
-Interacting with customers via phone/email and using ticketing systems to document your work
