Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee and monitor all projects within the department, working closely with the Office Manager.
• This role involves leading business development activities, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all ongoing projects within the department.
• Obtain field work proposals and cost estimates to ensure proper scoping of services, manpower availability, and pricing for profitability.
• Attend seminars and prioritize business development and marketing initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff by supporting their training, development, and performance reviews.
• Ensure the utilization of equipment and facilities, safety oversight, and quality of work products.
• Plan and drive business development activities to foster project opportunities and maintain client relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology with 5 years of practical experience, or a minimum of 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Business development experience from a consulting company.
• Minimum of 3 years managing field staff.
• Experience overseeing Phase I or II site assessments.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desired but not required.
• Ability to travel to seminars and spill/contaminated sites.

Work Environment

• This position is based in our Buffalo office with occasional travel to job sites across Upstate, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $62.50/hr.
