Job Description
As a Front Office Medical Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include answering and directing phone calls, reassuring patients, physicians, and other staff members through follow-up calls, and assisting in scheduling patients. You'll also verify patient information and insurance coverage prior to scheduling appointments or procedures. Your role will require you to maintain accurate and timely patient care documentation, alerting clinic leadership of any discrepancies. You'll prepare room assignments according to policies and procedures, ensuring rooms are comfortable and ready for use. Your organizational skills will be put to use as you keep the front office orderly, register and verify patient demographic information, and handle collections of co-pays and outstanding account balances. You'll also be involved in scheduling follow-up appointments, adhering to prescription protocols, operating diagnostic equipment (without interpreting tests), and performing non-invasive specimen collection. Where applicable, you may also be required to perform X-rays and assist with scribing.

Work Environment
Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, with shifts either 8am-5pm or 11am-8pm.
