What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Engineer position at Actalent?
Summary:
Our client goal is to bring together the brightest cross-disciplinary minds in one place to deliver on our mission: build tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. As a W-Fi Alliance (WFA) Certification engineer, you are responsible to setup lab for various WFA programs and execute test cases to achieve WFA certification.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
• Execute Wi-fi alliance programs, examples: Wi-Fi 6/5/4, MBO, WPA3
• Help setup the lab for new programs or replace existing programs; example: Wi-Fi 7
• Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
• Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
• Get system and wifi logs and debug the failures efficiently
Skills & Qualifications:
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented.
• Comfortable working with WPA supplicant
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Knowledge WFA certification and product registration
• Wi-Fi 7 lab setup experience
• WFA program execution
• Familiarity with testbed setup
• Understanding of Wifi Supplicant
• Adb commands
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
