What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
The position will be focused on analog design for field test equipment. Will be updating and integrating new test current transformers to the equipment.
- Research and generate ideas for the application of new and existing technology to fulfill product need
- Participate on interdisciplinary and interdepartmental teams to generate new product proposals.
- Participate on interdisciplinary and interdepartmental teams to develop product specifications from approved product proposals.
- Develop system architectures for products to meet product specifications.
- Derive detailed specification documents from higher level documents.
- Develop and maintain an attainable schedule that details key responsibilities, duties, achievable milestones and design reviews.
- Design, build, prototype, and analyze new and existing technology for functional and economic application in new and existing products.
- Design and produce documentation and test procedures suitable for product validation and product verification.
- Design and produce documentation and test procedures suitable for internal production and vendor outsourcing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience within HW Development Analog
- Experience with schematic design & layouts
- Instrumentation Design or test and measurement industry
- Altium for schematic design
