What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at Actalent?
Overview:
We are currently hiring 20 Instructional Designers for a multi year contract supporting our client in Newport News, VA.
Description:
- Analyze digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs).
- Interprets and adds design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements.
- Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP and TDP.
- Incorporates required changes as applicable.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client -satisfaction goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline.
- 1 year of experience.
- Competency with computers, 3D software experience,
- General knowledge of piping and/or electrical systems would be helpful.
- Strong preference for an active security clearance.
Additional Information:
- 20 openings available.
- Multi year contract.
- Pay Rate: $22-$30/hr based on experience.
- Benefits offered.
- First shift, Monday-Friday.
