M-F day shift
Description:
- Lab Chemist interprets test data and determines suitability of Raw Materials, Work in Process, and Finished Stock in accordance with the company standards and specifications. He/she also provides technical assistance to the local plant environmental program.

Raw Material Receipt:
1. Samples all incoming drums and performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
2. Calibrates and utilizes lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis.
3. Completes all paperwork associated with analysis and drum sampling.
4. Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
Production:
1. Approves work orders.
2. Calculates Fill Weights.
3. Performs quality checks prior to, and during work order fulfillment.
4. Obtains samples prior to, during, and upon order completion.
5. Utilizes lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis.
6. Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
7. Completes all associated paperwork.
Process -Blending:
1. Approves work orders.
2. Performs quality checks prior to, and during work order fulfillment.
3. Obtains samples prior to, during, and upon order completion.
4. Utilizes lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis.
5. Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
6. Completes all associated paperwork.
Process – Bulk Loading:
1. Obtains samples during load process per item and/or compartment.
2. Utilizes lab instrumentation required to run basic analysis.
3. Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
4. Completes orders systematically in WIN.
5. Generates COA as necessary.
6. Prints associated paperwork and provides to necessary parties.
General, all specialties:
1. Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility.
2. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
3. Performs other assignments as assigned by management.

Chemistry, quality assurance, quality control, sample processing, calibrations, Gc-ms, Wet chemistry, Laboratory, raw materials testing, drum sampling, waste management, analytical procedures
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or equivalency
• BS in Chemistry or related science (preferred)
• 0-1 years of related experience
• 40 hour OSHA training
