Job Title: Polymer Lab Technician
Job Description
Conduct experiments and tests on biodegradable plastic materials under the guidance of scientists. Prepare chemical solutions and compounds necessary for experiments. Collect, analyze, and interpret data, maintaining accurate records of all experiments and results. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly. Assist in the development of new testing methods and protocols. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research projects and contribute to the development of new products. Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing research findings.

Work Environment
The Lab Technician will support the research and development of biodegradable plastic materials. This role involves conducting experiments (50/50% to enhance existing formulas and to create new ones), analyzing data, and maintaining laboratory equipment and records. The ideal candidate will have a familiarity in plastics chemistry, materials science, with experience in a laboratory setting. The work environment includes an 8,000 sq. ft. R&D facility.
