What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
This Tech will be part of there new sensors technology for inks used in automotive and healthcare applications.
6 month project .They will be working with the R&D of various inks/sensors, and following it through production with helping out with QC.
Will be working alongside there chemists in the laboratory
Job Duties:
-Conducts material specification testing in the Materials Test Lab.
-Creates test data and reports for promoting products to our customers.
-Run material specification testing per customer specification requirements.
-Create accurate test data by attention to detail and following standard procedures.
-Perform part/component level testing as needed to prove out application designs based on customer requirements.
-Work closely with Product Managers/Product Specialists to ensure data collection accuracy and timeliness is maintained.
SHIFT:
Regular hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday. However, there might be times the lab technician will be asked to come in early in relation to needed testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
-Associates Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
- 1 years experience in a lab (school, internship or industry) is preferred
-Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals
-Have a mechanical aptitude
Mathematical Skills :
-Strong math skills required to analyze test data and prepare technical reports.
Reasoning Ability
-Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
-Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software Spreadsheet software, Presentation software and Word Processing software.
