Job Title: Lead Calibration Technician
Job Description
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on testing equipment used for cell phone batteries. You will also interact with customers, explaining the work that has been done or will be done, noting their requests, and potentially responding to them. A basic understanding of electronics and experience with low voltage up to 240 volts is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on battery test equipment.
- Interface and interact with customers, explaining completed and upcoming work.
- Note and potentially fulfill customer requests.
- Troubleshoot connections and determine connection problems.
- Reconnect and disconnect cables and validate actions.
- Use software standard operating procedures (SOP).
Essential Skills
- Experience with calibration and calibration equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronics and electrical testing equipment.
- Basic electronic knowledge.
- Comfortable with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
- Troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate in electronics or 1-2 years of experience in the field.
- Experience with battery test equipment is a plus.
Work Environment
Calibration Technicians will work onsite at various locations in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Cupertino, traveling between sites based on workload. New locations may occur every few weeks, and work at the San Jose location is rare. The company is steady even through challenging years, and many employees have been with the company for over 5 to 10 years.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $42.00/hr.
