Job Title: Medical Assistant & Limited X-Ray Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our urgent care facility team. This role involves providing essential support to the healthcare team, ensuring smooth patient check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Measure and record patient vitals accurately.
• Log information into the EMR/EHR system using NexGen.
• Verify patient insurance details.
• Provide coverage at the front desk during receptionist breaks.
• Perform medical assistant duties as required.
• Assist in capturing images of specific body parts, ensuring proper positioning and exposure techniques.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in appointment scheduling and electronic health record management.
• Experience in patient care and back-office operations.
• Familiarity with EMR system. (NexGen is a plus)
• Certified in Basic Life Support (AHA).
• Bilingual capabilities in English and another language.
• Imaging and radiology skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to pass an integrity test.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

The urgent care facility operates seven days a week, providing a fast-paced environment where the department sees 40-45 patients daily. The role entails working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 10 AM to 10:30 PM. The dress code is professional attire, suitable for both back-office and occasional front-office responsibilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
