What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Actalent?
**This is an onsite position in Utica, NY - Relocation assistance will be provided - Must be able to relocate to Utica.**
Description:
Manufacturing Engineer with technical experience who is passionate towards continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes to leverage the talent and optimize the productivity. You will be responsible for developing and driving our operational excellence methodology, as well as working with production management on improvement efforts for day-to-day operations.
Shifts Available: (These are 12-hour overnight shifts)
B Shift (6pm-6am) Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday
D Shift (6pm-6am) Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday
**Shift differential $10k/year for overnight shift**
Required Skills & Experience:
Evaluating, developing, documenting and continuously improving manufacturing processes
High volume manufacturing environment
CAD software
Lean manufacturing principles
Automation
PLC troubleshooting
More mechanical - best if they are mechanical but have electrical knowledge
Automotive experience a bonus
Stress management is key
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
PLC experience in any capacity i.e. troubleshooting, programming, testing, maintenance etc.
Electrical experience in any capacity (prefers mechanical person who has worked in electrical space)
Power component / Power module experience
Robotics experience a bonus
** Must be able to travel to Germany for 1 week **
