PAINT ENGINEER | AUTOMOTIVE OEM MANUFACTURING | BLUE SPRINGS, MS
The primary responsibility of this role is to support production, manage & lead department cost activities, introduce new technologies, and manage milestone schedule for 100% readiness. Reporting to the Paint Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the department's objective to safely produce quality vehicles at the lowest cost.
What you’ll be doing:
- Project Management & New Technology Implementation
- Creating Ringi’s for Operations & New Projects
- Paint Department Capital & Operating Budgeting
- Raw Materials Tracking
- Manage Department Cost Reduction Activities
- Production Support for Offline Repair/2 Tone/Applications Processes
- Safety Machine Risk Assessment & Safety Kaizen Implementation
- Creating New & Maintaining Existing Engineering Process Standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a role using problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Project Management experience
- Vehicle conveyance and processing experience
- Controls and systems integration experience
Bonus to have:
- Experience with project justification (cost analysis)
- Automotive Experience
- Equipment Installation & Modifications
- Paint Shop experience
