What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer - SolidWorks position at Actalent?
Description:
The individual for this position will be responsible for the following:
- Designing filtration systems ranging in price from small systems to $3M using SolidWorks.
- Drawing averages of 3 to 10 drawings per week: floor plans, structural tank drawings, structural platforms and mezzanines, and routing plumbing drawings.
- Adhere to the department’s programming, drawing standards and conventions.
- The ratio of updating standard drawings to starting from scratch is 80/20. (20% start from scratch)
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Solidworks designing
- 2 year degree/Associates in a 3D design related field or equivalent experience Significant SolidWorks manufacturing design experience.
- Minimum 3 years of SolidWorks weldments and routing experience
