What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Integrity Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
-Review, revise, and Develop station program documents within Mechanical Integrity department. Including but not limited to:
-Pressure Relief Device Inspection program document to ensure rupture disc requirements meet API standards; define shelf life/stock rotation of spare relief device inventory.
-Develop written program document outlining deficiency management procedure for addressing assessments that do not meet inspection guidelines and requirements to allow continued service of equipment.
-Review and revise station Piping Inspection program document to underground piping is properly identified. Consider creating attachments that outline CML's (condition monitoring locations) that have potential of CUI (corrosion under insulation), dead legs, injection points and mixing points. PCMS can be used for this.
-Review and revise station Rotating Equipment program document to include all relevant PM's and inspections that occur.
-Develop written program document that provides direction on how to implement and maintain a Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program.
-Provide technical oversight during API equipment inspections during S23 outage.
-Serve as a representative of the company and review API inspection reports generated by NDE contractor. Review reports and accept, challenge, reject findings as appropriate including any recommended repairs.
-Provide code compliance guidance on any repair work that may be needed based upon inspections.
-Develop written program document for review of inspection reports and note any short-term or long-term actions that may be needed.
Review open inspection Events within PCMS (internal software) and generate any required actions.
-As appropriate, make recommendations for material changes, process changes, inspection changes to maximize equipment service life.

Must Have:
-2-4 Year Degree (If no degree, will need 6 years of experience)
-Needs to have 4 years of working knowledge in API Inspections in industries or environments such as refinery or petrochemical/chemical
-Ability to coach, lead and manage jr engineers
-Experiencing reviewing subcontractors' inspection reports and being able to confidently advise next action based on reporting results
