Job Title: Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Technician for an urgent care facility. Responsibilities include checking in and out patients, recording vitals, logging information into our EMR/EHR system (NexGen), and verifying insurance. You may also be asked to cover the front desk during the receptionist's lunch break. The role consists of 90% medical assistant work and 10% x-ray work. One day per week, you will be assigned to our Burbank location as a float.

Hard Skills

• Limited X-Ray License/Certification
• 1-2 Years of Experience as a Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Experience with NexGen EMR System

Soft Skills

• Ability to multitask
• Willingness to float between locations
• Front office responsibilities

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in West Covina, California.

Work Environment

Our Urgent Care is open 7 days a week and is a fast-paced environment. We currently have two full-time x-ray tech/medical assistants, seeing 40-45 patients per day and taking approximately 900-1000 images per month. Your work week will consist of three 12-hour shifts from 10AM-10:30PM.
