What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Actalent?
Job Description:
Located in Noblesville, IN, this Medical Assistant will be a back office MA supporting anywhere from 2-4 providers but will primarily support 1 provider. It also provides the opportunity to become X-Ray certified within 1 year of employment! Some key responsibilities are below.
- Greet and room 5-6 patients/hour to prepare the patient for the pre op, post op, or general check up appointment. This adds up to 40 patients/day.
- Check vitals (Body Temperature, Pulse Rate, Respiration Rate, Blood Pressure)
- Triage patients and assess any symptoms, review/update medication and vaccination history, confirm family medical history
- Very hands on role with the patient by assisting with pen removals, cast removals, suture removals, wound care, etc.
- Preparation for surgery, casting, fitting of braces or boots
- X-rays are included for diagnosing injuries
- Preparing rooms for examinations by sanitating chairs and equipment and work surfaces, restocking procedure equipment.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant schooling
- 1-3 years of back office medical assistant experience in a clinical setting
Hours:
- Monday - 8am - 6pm
- Tuesday - 8am - 5pm
- Wednesday - 10am - 5:30pm
- Thursday - 10am - 5:30pm
- Friday - 8am - 4pm
