Qualifications:
1) NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or valid permit issued by NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology
2) Chemistry/hematology
ASCP certification is preferred but not required as long as they have the full New York State MLT license.
Job Duties:
The Medical Technologist performs qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the station assigned. The Technologist will have an understanding of the principles of tests performed and working knowledge of the equipment used in the station which they are assigned.
- Ensure that all specimens are put in appropriate storage
- Follow all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results
- Recognize critical or life-threatening results,, verify results, and report to the appropriate clinician
- Document all results in the LIS

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00
