What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microstation Drafter position at Actalent?
Top ENR Magazine rated Engineering consulting firm is seeking a Microstation Drafter to join their team in Orange County. The Drafter will support on going federal electrical utility projects consisting of fire risk mitigation, service Planning, field inspections, deteriorated poles, base mapping, electric vehicle charging station design, plot layout and design, site planning, and permitting.
Description:
• Complete deliverables in timely manner while maintaining quality
• They will be performing various drafts for utility poles and reconductors
• They will not be doing the fielding themselves, unless they are considered for a planner role, but will be expected to be in the office every day.
• Able to understand scope of work
• Having good communication with planners & engineers
• Create Base maps for different departments using specific data provided
• Willingness to take initiative to resolve issues
• Ability to QC your own work prior to lead examination
• Familiarized with multiple project standards, data management, analysis, & expectations
• Strong attention to details while maintaining consistent work flow
Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 year's of experience of any civil based drafting
- Strong Microstation experience
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour (Negotiable based upon Experience)
