URGENT HIRING FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN ROLES

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Order Entry/Customer Service Pharmacy Technician, where you are at the front line of our pharmacy operations.

Your primary responsibilities:

• include order entry, triage, handling incoming calls, and directing them appropriately
• you will communicate with long-term care facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, managing drug orders received via faxes and other forms
• additionally, you will engage in triaging documents by reviewing patient profiles to determine the appropriateness of placing orders, preparing documents by highlighting pertinent information, and ensuring accurate entry of medication orders.
• expect to handle about 15-30 calls per day, make calls regarding new admissions to facilities, and troubleshoot any issues with orders by understanding the workings of the Automatic Dispensing Unit

Skills & Qualifications:

- Registered pharmacy technician with the state of MN (national certification does not count, they have to be registered with MN)

- 6 months of pharmacy experience in a retail (CVS, Walgreens, etc.) or LTC (order entry/triage side) setting

- Experience in retail should include typing orders and knowledge of SIG codes
