What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Actalent?
Description:
- Draw blood from patients fingers, heel, or vein, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples
- Obtains the correct amount and type of specimen
- Document all requests and release results of lab work accurately
- Informs physicians of release lab results
- Completes appropriate routing, handling, and process of various medical specimens
- Orders, distributes and stocks supplies as needed
- Trains and reports on the work performance of other lab assistants
- Drawing 60- 80 patients daily
Skills:
Medical, Draws, Phlebotomy, outpatient
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Hospital experience preferred
Active CPT license
Must be available to work any day of the week, 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts
