Job Title: Scheduler

Job Description

Support the Transmission Engineering group for major capital projects. The primary function is to lead the development and maintenance of project schedules in Primavera, acting as a lead scheduler. Eventually, you will be asked to train junior staff on Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple stakeholders to build project schedules in Primavera.
• Conduct routine meetings with Project Managers and stakeholders to maintain current and accurate schedules in Primavera.
• Provide routine summary portfolio and project-level status reporting on schedule adherence.
• Support Project Managers in identifying schedules and milestones at risk.
• Assist with tracking project costs, including budget reforecasts, estimates versus actuals, accruals, and contingencies.
• Communicate with and gather information from other departments to ensure that project schedules are accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with the creation of major capital project budgets and estimates and in the development of cash flow projections.
• Present details related to project scheduling as required.
• Support Project Management leadership and team members with special reports and informational inquiries.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 8 years of scheduling experience utilizing Primavera (P6) software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
• Must be capable of standing up new projects in Primavera.
• Strong process improvement experience.
• Comfortable presenting to stakeholders regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, chemical, boiler, P&ID, turbine, GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, rotating equipment, combined cycle, gas, steam, construction, project management, construction management, construction supervision, subcontractor management.

Work Environment

Onsite for the first month, then hybrid with an agreed-upon schedule. This opportunity comes with a minimum of 2 weeks of PTO and 6 paid holidays, supporting one of Florida's Investor Owned Utilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $85.00
