What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLC Programmer position at Actalent?
Actalent is currently searching for a PLC Programmer for multiple sites in Central PA. Candidates will work to design and program control systems for a variety of process machinery. Some travel could be necessary up to 25% in a year, depending on the project/client load.
Experience you bring to the table:
Strong understanding of electrical control systems
The ability to troubleshoot and program PLC's from scratch as well as HMI configuration
Documentation experience for how programming work has been and will be completed.
Pluses:
Vision systems experience
Electrical Design/CAD experience
Specifically AB PLC systems experience
Typical Day:
Programming PLCs and HMIs
Interacting with customers over the phone
Troubleshooting issues via phone or email
Hands-on in controls systems design, programming, and installation on field
Documentation for electrical control systems
