These responsibilities will predominantly be focused on long term process improvements that they can make within production. The individual in this role will also support some other aspects of manufacturing, but ultimately what they do will relate back to process modification and improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall process improvements including existing and new model changes
- Develop scopes of work and proper work instructions
- Run projects focused on improvements (Kaizen, ergonomic studies, documentation development) to best understand necessary changes for long term improvements)
- Design layout for new cells or cell modifications
- Investigate process bottlenecks to develop and implement solutions that increase throughput
- Good overall communication skills
- Troubleshooting any issues that may arise on the production floor and having the knowledge to get them corrected as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience - 2-5 years
- Process modification and planning - Determine required process or equipment modifications
- Project Management- Working on long-term projects and ability to talk through milestones of the project and what was completed by the individual
- Robotic/Automation familiarity- Need familiarity from manufacturing to troubleshoot potential issues and understand how they work to make improvements to safety, quality, and ergonomics
- Automotive OEM or Supplier working experience- Critical this person understands how automotive environments operate
- Mechanical Aptitude- Understanding of mechanical aspects of manufacturing that go into production, ability to read prints and schematics to make necessary improvements
- 3D Design- (Solidworks/AutoCAD/Delmia) to make any necessary small changes as needed
- Basic Knowledge of GD&T- Don't need to make changes, but can understand for root cause analysis issues
- Education
- Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience OR Associates with 5 years; Engineering Preferred.

- PLC Troubleshooting & Programming Experience
