Job Title: Project Architect

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full project from start to finish. You will design and oversee drafters and designers on their projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit, which is the only software used. The projects you will work on include multifamily and corporate buildings. You will interact with clients to provide updates on project status, take drawings from concept to design, handle construction drawings, give direction to drafters, and provide progress updates to general contractors and clients. You will also be responsible for stamping projects that go through the office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project from start to finish.
• Design and oversee drafters/designers on projects.
• Use Revit software for all design tasks.
• Work on multifamily and corporate building projects.
• Interact with clients to provide project updates.
• Take drawings from concept to design.
• Handle construction drawings.
• Give direction to drafters.
• Provide progress updates to general contractors and clients.
• Stamp projects that go through the office.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• 6 years of commercial and retail design experience
• Licensed in the State of Michigan or on a path to become licensed within 2 years
• Experience in design development

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction documents
• Architectural project management experience
• Registered architect or pursuing licensure

Work Environment

The work environment is 90% in the office, with the option for 1 remote day per week. The firm offers a flexible schedule with four 10-hour days (Monday through Thursday) and Fridays off.
