Job Description: Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research and develop new manufacturing processes and materials.
• Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Evaluate designs and plan layout of equipment for production.
• Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes.
• Address issues of safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineers, chemists, and production staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Support ballistics testing and analyze data from testing.
• Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures consistent with company quality policies.
• Support all technical insertion activities as required and manage project implementation.
• Analyze all drawing and technical data specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.
• Participate in weekly Integrated Product Teams (IPT) meetings as required.
• Develop cost estimates for process implementation and production.
• Document all created and modified processes.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience.
• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• Systems engineering knowledge.
• Customer relations skills, including support, communication, and qualification of program/project needs.
• SolidWorks design experience.
• Product development and management experience.
• Experience in the defense industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in the defense industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with defense aerospace projects.
• Program management and project engineering skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00
