Job Title: QC Lab Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a QC Lab Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm, Monday to Friday). In this role, you will support a food ingredient production facility that produces powdered mixes primarily for dairy products such as chocolate powders, strawberry powders, protein powders, creatine powders, and vitamin mixes.

Responsibilities

• Test raw material samples from production and perform release of raw materials with appropriate documentation.
• Prepare 50-60 sample batches per shift, which involves weighing ingredients, adding to the batch, and cooking at appropriate temperatures.
• Conduct basic lab testing including viscosity, moisture, water activity, and sensory testing (taste, smell, appearance).
• Prepare microbiology samples as needed.
• Perform basic lab duties including dishwashing, cleaning, sample prep, and organization.
• Conduct production room inspections and final product release with all associated documentation in the CPU system and QA Logbook.
• Enter sample data and release products in the system.

Essential Skills

• Experience with moisture, raw material testing, QC, quality release, and sensory testing.
• Interest in working in a food production facility.
• Ability to work on feet for the majority of the day.
• Basic lab testing skills including viscosity and sensory testing.
