What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate position at Actalent?
Seeking a Research Associate to join our team in supporting antibody product development. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and with antibody-based assays (Western Blot, ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, etc.). Additional experience in molecular biology and protein expression/purification would also be an asset but is not required for this position.
Requirements
- Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture (1 year in industry REQUIRED)
- Hands on experience with antibody-based assays (Western Blot, ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry)
- Protein expression/purification (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences
- At least 1 years experience at the bench in academia or industry (has to be actual hands on, not just in class / theory)
- At least one year of mammalian cell culture experience and must be fully independent on all aspects of cell maintenance, expansion, preservation, and general handling
- Experience working with immunoassays (Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry.)
- Experience with protein purification (gravity flow and FPLC based purification)
- Experience with protein conjugation
- Experience working in a GMP environment is a plus but not required
