The Role:
Our client is looking for someone to join our high performing execution team as a Robotics Automation Engineer. In this role you will be working in a fast pace high tech environment, responsible for project management and all deliverables for the Fanuc Robots. Depending on the role you will be engaged on future robotic, robotic programming for flying robots, vision guided robots and high-speed robotic applications,
Specifically, these roles will be for our RESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System) programs.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities):
- Review manufacturing system requirements and design robust robotic/vision hardware and software applications
- Execute GPS & VS Robot standards for manufacturing equipment.
- Interface with other ME departments and regional automation execution teams to gather feedback and document manufacturing requirements with robotic applications.
- Interface with Process, Controls teams, Fanuc (role dependent), equipment suppliers and manufacturing integration suppliers.
- Ensure software / hardware application designs comply with our clients standards.
- Supervise detailed designs by contractors when necessary.
- Specify software / equipment selection guidance, functional requirements, and integration methods. Example: Robot Models for Flying robots, Vision guided robots, wash robots, Pick and place robots
- Provide on-site technical support for: plant software issues, new equipment startup, troubleshooting, reprogramming, diagnostic equipment usage, and interfacing with skilled trades personnel.
- Provide plant technical support with the development, planning and strategies for maintaining and replacing obsolete equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Your Skills And Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 5 years of experience with Fanuc robots
- FANUC IR experience is a must have.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience with teaching / set up of FANUC robots in FANUC TP language
- Experience with the design, build and start-up of manufacturing systems.
- Experience with design, set up, and debug of automation systems.
- For Robotics Engineer - IR Vision Experience and DCS Zone Creation/Validation
