Description:
This position within the Immunology and Inflammation Area is for a rigorous scientist with preferred experience in autoimmunity and/or allergy, B cell biology and disease models driven by pathogenic antibodies. Candidate should be highly collaborative and team-driven, possess exceptional organizational skills and be capable of independently conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments. This individual will have the opportunity to support a broad pipeline in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by validating targets, assessing the efficacy of therapeutic candidate molecules in disease models, and interrogating mechanisms of pathology that inform therapeutic strategies.
- Troubleshoot methodological and technical issues, interpret experimental data and literature, and communicate results to supervisor, department, or project team.
- Execute experiments based on projects/protocols provided and work towards independently developing project
- Collaborate and communicate efficiently with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments, and with other departments to facilitate cross-functional efforts
- Contribute to executing experiments involving proper handling and care of mice, general surgical techniques and the collection of blood and tissue samples.
- Develop and optimize relevant disease mouse models and the subsequent analysis of associated disease-related pathologies by flow cytometry, histology and ELISA
- Develop and execute cell-based assays to screen candidate antibodies for various research programs
- Perform ELISAs and/or MSDs to measure cytokine levels and determine antigen binding for various research program

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, or Cellular and Molecular Biology.
Skilled in the design of complex studies to interrogate the in vivo efficacy of novel therapeutics.
Experience with developing and optimizing mouse models of autoimmune and/or allergic diseases and the subsequent analysis of associated disease-related pathologies by flow cytomety, histology and ELISA.
Extensive experience with multi-parameter Flow cytometry and data analysis is required.
