Job Title: Site Layout Technician

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Site Layout Technician to join our surveying team. This individual will work closely with survey crew chiefs to place construction stakes into the ground, marking section/building corners and laying out physical structures for construction sites. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in surveying.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with survey crew chiefs to place construction stakes on site.
• Mark out section/building corners and layout physical structures according to design plans.
• Perform rough grade staking for initial site improvements like slopes, parking lots, and roadways.
• Conduct precise site layout staking for underground utilities and above-ground features.
• Ensure accurate transfer of design plans to the physical site to avoid costly errors and delays.
• Maintain precision and efficiency throughout the construction staking process.

Essential Skills

• 1 years of professional experience with construction staking.
• Professional experience working with concrete for building foundations or concrete footers.
• Exposure to and working knowledge of surveying.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working as a survey instrument operator.
• Knowledge of land surveying, topography, total station, and GPS.
• Willingness to submit to a drug/background/MVR check.
• Willingness to be a team player and assist with additional duties as needed.

Work Environment

The Site Layout Technician will be working outside, in the field, on various survey projects. The role offers significant autonomy and requires starting at 7:00am each day, with 40 hours of work every week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
