What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Actalent?
We are currently hiring a superintendent!!
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site and has knowledge of concrete superstructure construction. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Travel likely required dependent on project assignment.
MUST HAVES -
- Minimum 2.5 years of experience in the construction area, strong project management, and communications skills. Superstructure experience preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage construction costs, quality, and schedule.
- OSHA certification
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of construction projects
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are followed
- Maintain communication with senior-level management as to the progress of the job
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction site organization
- Proactively plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and material deliveries
- Control Jobsite costs for labor, equipment, and services to keep the project within budget
- Analyze and construct details as shown on drawings
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.
