Exciting Opportunity to work with a Top General Contractor in the Capital Region, Hiring NOW!!!
Actalent is working with a top general contractor based in Troy, NY that does commercial construction and some residential. They currently have multiple projects within the capital region in all different phases of construction. Projects range from heavy commercial, hospitality & entertainment and manufacturing.
The Site Superintendent will be responsible for Subcontractor coordination (managing the day to day of what the subcontractors will need to get done), Quality Control (is the one that decides if the work on site is being performed up to par and weather or not they should make changes on existing work), daily operations on the construction site (creating a schedule, running project meetings, keeping people on schedule, is the onsite manager so all subcontractors will come to this person with any issues, health & safety focus, etc.) and communication with the project team back in the office.
MUST HAVES:
-Must have a strong understanding of the Skilled trades
-Must strong attention to detail for daily documentation and basic computer skills.
-Must be very good at communicating with internal teams, subcontractors and clients.
-Must have experience in commerical and industrial projects
Test Job description: Must have diverse commercial experience. someone who's only done residental would not work out. If someone has done strong residental (large condos) or hospitality, it would be worth looking at.
Best VS Average:
Best- Individual has best on diverse amount of commerical and industrial projects. Only 5 years of superindent experience but sharp and eager. Takes lead and understand the skill trades involved for the job. Some who understands deadlines and quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred but not required. if no degree then someone from the trades (carpentry is most common)
-Open to a foreman that is ready to take that step to superintendent if they have the right personality.
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong documentation and attention to detail
-Strong understand of OSHA safety standards

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
