Systems Engineer works with PDA customers to collaborate on development of requirements for PDA systems. Technical expertise in system development, analysis, design/requirement development of robust complex electro-mechanical systems. Make recommendation of optimizing and improving systems and develop prototypes that can integrate with other systems including modeling and simulation efforts.
Products primarily are large cabinets containing servers/data, counsels, racking, network/communication equip. (switches), and cabling (Copper, Fiber, and USB) for video transmission and distribution. Also containing video and GUI displays ect…
Degreed Engineer w/ Bachelors Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Systems/Software (BSEE, Systems, or BSME)
Experience & Requirements:
- 2-10 yrs. Knowledge Hardware set Circuit boards, Cabling, Connectors, Enclosures, Electro-Mechanical devices servers (Racking Equipment) ect…
- Ruggedized equipment, displays counsels, and GUI’s (Racking Cabinets)
- Video Distribution & transmission submarine displays. (signal processing)
- Understand overall architecture of equipment and systems.
- Develop requirements/solutions thru customer collaboration and creative thinking.
- Work with technical team engineering to develop design and prototypes.
- Assist in testing and analysis and system improvements.
- Any experience with Military or Navy is a plus.

• Transform customer requirements into specifications
• Coordinates and/or performs additions and changes to hardware and software and attached systems; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new hardware and software
• Provides direct support in the day-to-day operations on hardware and software development; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems
• Participates in planning design, technical review and implementation for new hardware and operating systems for new and existing system designs
• Maintains system design standards
• Provides technical guidance, training, and support to Engineering staff as designated by the project lead
Must be flexible and versatile to work in small systems group and small/medium size company must be hands-on and team player (wear multiple hats).

Design/Requirements initial design phase is 2-3 months and final review into production 9-12 months. (refresh and upgrades every 2 years)
Prefer candidates from Defense/Aerospace companies ie – Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, BAE, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Shadin, Cirrus, and/or Collins (UTC).
Also, medical equipment (Diagnostics/Surgery Rooms) companies such as; Beckman Coulter, Abbott, Imris, and Baxter (not smaller medical implantable or devices)
Capital equipment (Machines) companies ie ; MTS, Rudolph Tech. (Onto), Air Liquide, Stratasys, and Thermoking/Trane.
