What are the responsibilities and job description for the Triage Pharmacy Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
- The Pharmacy Technician will be trained in general Pharm Tech duties including filling prescriptions, reviewing health insurance and prescription orders as well as assisting customers from within the community and LTC pharmacy.
- They will also be supporting customers over the phone and through computer systems so they will need to have strong customer services skills as well as systems skills.
- Respond to customer inquiries as necessary
- Process STAT orders
- Verify all information is complete on the prescription
- Communicate with facilities to alert them of any issues during the data entry process
- Update the patient profile with all necessary information from prescription. Ensuring that patient's allergies, therapies and current medication are updated
- Assist with finding lost or missed orders on reques
- Answer inbound facility phone calls
