What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend QC Chemist position at Actalent?
Actalent Scientific is hiring a part time QC Chemist for our client in Bethlehem. This person would be working on Saturday's only. Current chemistry students are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
-Strong theoretical knowledge of chemistry
-Flexibility and commitment in work schedule and coverage
-Computer experience
-Local student preferred
Description:
Typical day will be testing in process and finished samples. Documentation of results will be manual and in an electronic system. ASTM methods will be used and the instrumentation includes: titrations, viscosity, flash point, penetration, moisture analysis, IR, and GC. pH on occasion. There will be a work order laid out each shift for what they need to accomplish in the time they are there.
