Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and a keen eye for detail. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to restore and renovate spaces, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the environment. Jobsites will be in Walworth, Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties. Travel pay depending on distance of job is available.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint using various techniques, including airless paint spraying, brush, and roller.
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work required.
- Restore and renovate surfaces as needed, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Perform drywall repairs and plastering as necessary.
- Conduct construction estimating for painting projects to provide accurate timelines and material needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in airless paint spraying techniques is preferred.
- Experience in hanging wall covering is preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction estimating is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining effective communication.
