Action Powersports is looking for an enthusiastic Service Manager to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Customer Service is your #1 priority!
- You oversee every aspect of the Service Department and are the leader of our service team.
- Interact with and manage technicians, service advisors, and support staff
- Lead by example with excellent attendance, professional attitude, and great customer relations.
- Safety is a top priority.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Must have the ability to work in conjunction with Sales and Parts Managers.
- Oversee the Internal Operations Manager
- All facilities and equipment must be well taken care of and serviced on a regular basis
- Keep work areas clean and well organized
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order
- Handle human resources of the department including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluation, motivating and rewarding the team.
- Increase the profitability of the service department while controlling expenses
- Manage technician productivity
- Proactively recruit and maintain a file of prospects.
- Coordinate training for staff, both in person training and factory online training.
- Demonstrate the proper ways to handle customers and hold team accountable to building customer loyalty and profitability.
- Hold regular staff meetings / employee evaluations
- Keep an accurate employee schedule with adequate staffing
- Ensure that everyone is aware of their job and expectations for that job
- Apply information found in tech bulletins, service manuals, etc.…
- Set and communicate goals with the team.
- Set performance-based pay plans.
- Ensure prompt warranty payments
- Other duties as assigned
