What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident- Worship Arts position at Ada Bible Church?
Position Details:
- The Worship Resident is a part-time, temporary position offered at 15-20 hours per week for a year-long residency for the 2023-2024 ministry season*, with the potential for renewal for a second ministry season the following year. (*official start and end time is flexible)
- Applicants must have availability to work during the listed times:
- Weekends – Sunday mornings and one of the following: Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and/or Sunday evenings (residents won't serve every week at these times but one or more must be options).
- Weekdays (Mon-Thurs) – Schedule can be somewhat flexible according to class schedule or other needs.
What you will do:
- Serve on bands and lead for a variety of ministry events, including the weekend services, student ministry, and adult ministries of Ada Bible
- Lead rehearsals and worship regularly at Lifeline (our Student Ministry)
- Assist in set planning and creative programming for the Lifeline worship experiences
- Be involved in planning teams for student ministry events
- Assist with care and training for student musicians
- Participate in team meetings with the Worship Staff
- Research new ideas for musical/creative growth in our department
- Grow in personal leadership through 1-on-1 mentorship, musical training, and goal-setting conversations
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about the worship of God, growing in their leadership, and learning how to lead, build, and develop a thriving worship ministry. To be considered for the position, you should be interested in pursuing vocational ministry as a career. Previous experience or formal education in ministry or worship is preferred but not required.

- Humble and teachable; willing to receive regular constructive feedback and follow-up on goal-setting processes
- Comfortable leading worship vocally and from an instrument (or learning to lead from an instrument)

- Hungry to grow in leadership abilities, practical skills, and ministry experience
- Desire to work hard, but also likes to have fun in the process
