POSITION SUMMARY
The Glenmont Job Corps Center operated by Adams is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN ) professional to inspire and educate the next generation of CNAs. Job Corps is a no-cost education and vocational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives by empowering them to get great jobs and become independent.

Responsibilities:

• Instruction and Curriculum Development

  • Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in both theory and practical skills related to nursing and certified nursing assistant (CNA) training.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Clinical Training

  • Organize and oversee clinical training experiences for students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship during practical training sessions to enhance students' hands-on skills.

• Compliance, Assessment, and Evaluation

  • Ensure program meets all State and Federal regulations
  • Evaluate student performance through examinations, practical assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students in their academic and clinical development.

• Industry Engagement

  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations related to nursing and CNA training.
  • Foster relationships with healthcare facilities for potential student placement and collaboration.

• Classroom Management

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student engagement.
  • Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance.

Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Unrestricted New York State RN License
• Minimum two years’ experience as an RN or LPN that includes at least one year or 12 months of employment in a long-term care facility.
• Complete the Teaching-the-Educator (TTE) Course or be eligible to upon hire.
