We are seeking a talented Job Captain, with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while working under the guidance of a licensed Project Architect.
Key responsibilities:
Assist Project Manager and Project Architect with Project Development
Participate as an essential part of our team in all aspects of Design, Managing, and Delivery of Projects from design through construction administration
Produce Contract Documents that are in compliance with local, states, and federal building codes
Ability to coordinate with interior design, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and civil engineering throughout design
Update drawings based on in-house, owner, and agency review
Assist with construction administration with review of submittals and document coordination. Attend job meetings
Ability to collaborate with team members to support project goals
Contribute to project development while adhering to design and quality standards
Occasionally interact with clients in a professional and effective manner
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from an accredited university (licensed or pursuing licensure is a plus)
5-8 years of related experience
Proficiency with BIM software, especially Revit (Sketchup and Photoshop experience a plus)
Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures/construction
Proficiency in technology, construction documents, and presentation materials
Strong time management skills
Ability to travel to client sites and meetings on occasion
LEED Accredited a plus
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types (Public/Private, retail and educational a plus)
Passion for design and eagerness to hone your craft is a strong plus
Highly motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks and work as a team to meet project deadline
Strong communication and collaborative skills and a "team first" attitude
This is an in-person position. Remote work is not available.
