Duties and Responsibilities Summary
Position: Customer Development Manager
Reports to: Senior Logistics Manager
FLSA status: Exempt
Travel: Frequent, based on customer demands
Knowledge and Requirements
5-year sales experience in Logistics or the Transportation Industry, preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, required
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve
- Customer-satisfaction oriented with the ability to maintain strong relationships
- Detail orientated
- Capable to maintain confidential information
- Self-Motivated
General Outline of Responsibilities

Seek new customers and maintain relationships with current customers
- Identify potential customers, build relationships with them, and develop new business opportunities by understanding their shipping needs while presenting services that meet those requirements
- Analyze market, industry, and customer trends to identify areas of opportunity and growth
- Keeping good rapport with current customers, while identifying any new potential needs those customers may have
- Provides analysis and data of customer interactions to the Senior Manager
- Coordinate with the Senior Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and adjust strategies based on market changes and company performance.
- Coordinate with the Senior Manager and marketing team for materials and marketing strategies to differentiate from the competition
- Contribute to the effective transition of the account to the proper Account Manager
- Maintain company Vision throughout the department
- Performs other functions as requested or assigned by management
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policy to achieve the overall objectives of the position and expectations of supervisors.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action when necessary or suggests alternative courses or action to be taken.
