What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Management Specialist position at Adams Outdoor?

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Management Specialist plays an essential part in the oversight of our entire saleable inventory in multiple offices or markets with a regional presence. You will be viewed as an inventory expert and directly responsible for scheduling our digital and/or static billboard inventory, while also being a resource to our Market Schedulers on static and/or digital inventory, providing guidance to mitigate gaps and find opportunities to maximize inventory availability. 

This role provides top line support throughout the media scheduling process to ensure accurate inputs and real time data to support the Sales Process. 

In addition, you will be a resource to management and exercise independent judgement by providing rate recommendations, reporting inventory opportunities and trends for the markets or offices in the assigned footprint, along with other work matters of significance. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: * 

  •  Schedules client advertising contracts against current inventory ensuring they are correctly placed without conflicts based on what the contractual agreement states. 
  •  Prepares and participates in ROC (Rate, Occupancy and Contract) Review Meetings. 
  •  Assists Regional Business Manager and acts as resource on rate, occupancy and inventory analysis that identifies gaps, opportunities and trends. Collaborates and executes strategies plans to maximize revenue opportunities. 
  •  Collaborates with Market Schedulers on static inventory, providing guidance to mitigate gaps and find opportunities to maximize inventory availability. 
  •  Participate in the development of stateside selling opportunities in conjunction with management. 
  •  Prepare and update rate cards for the state, as directed by management. 
  •  Demonstrates clear understanding of all advertising, inventory and audiences, as the expert in Telemar and Geopath. 
  •  Incorporate Real Estate rents into inventory analysis as needed, coordinate inventory placement for profitability purposes with Market Schedulers. 
  •  Upload digital creative files, ensure proper sizes and creative names are accurate. 
  •  Data entry of AOA client Ad Manager maintenance. 
  •  Partners with Account Executives and Sales Support Teams to chart proposals and contracts for all advertising inventory. 
  •  Provide outstanding support to management and sales staff to provide up to date information with available advertising space. 
  •  Effectively problem solve to address issues affecting local advertising inventory with the RBM. 
  •  Acts with diplomacy internally and externally as a representative of AOA Sales Department. 
  •  Assists with development of proposals when needed, including ordering Public Service Announcements. 
  •  Performs other related duties required or projects assigned by management. 
  •  Substitutes for any Scheduling personnel who are absent or on vacation. 
  •  May accompany AEs and clients on market rides, with RBM approval. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related experience. 
  •  Self-motivated with at least 1-2 years of professional work experience. 
  •  Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize to meet assignment deadlines. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Telemar and Geopath. 
  •  Strong Analytical skills and problem solving analysis. 
  •  Ability to handle the tasks associated with a fast-paced advertising environment.
