Job Summary​

Organization Overview
The Addiction Recovery Coalition of New Hampshire (ARCNH) is a peer-led recovery organization and Recovery Community Center located in Milford, NH, serving the greater Souhegan Valley. Founded in 2020, ARCNH provides one-on-one recovery coaching, peer support programs, veteran support, family recovery services, community outreach, and connections to hundreds of recovery and wellness resources statewide.
Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) provides strategic, operational, and cultural leadership to ARCNH. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for vision-aligned growth, organizational sustainability, staff leadership and development, partnership expansion, financial oversight, and execution of the mission.
Primary Responsibilities
Mission, Vision & Strategy
* Lead ARCNH in alignment with its mission, values, and peer-led philosophy.
* Develop and execute strategic and annual operating plans in collaboration with the Board.
* Expand partnerships, coalitions, and collaborative initiatives across Souhegan Valley and New Hampshire.
* Represent ARCNH to funders, partners, stakeholders, and the broader recovery ecosystem.
Organizational Leadership & Culture
* Build and maintain a trauma-informed, inclusive, recovery-friendly culture.
* Ensure policies, procedures, accountability systems, and safety practices support both staff and participants.
* Promote lived experience as a core leadership asset and integrate peer voice into decision-making.
Program Oversight & Outcomes
* Ensure strong, high-quality delivery of all programs and services.
* Supervise and support program leaders who oversee direct service staff and volunteers.
* Ensure recovery data and outcomes are accurate and useful.
* Lead continuous quality improvement and participant feedback loops.
Staff & Volunteer Management
* Hire, onboard, support, and develop staff and key volunteers.
* Provide regular supervision to direct reports and ensure supervision practice throughout the team.
* Support staff training pathways, including CRSW development in compliance with applicable Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professional rules.
Finance, Administration & Compliance
* Oversee organizational finances, budgeting, monthly reporting, and contract requirements.
* Ensure compliance with nonprofit, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, HITECH, insurance requirements, and other confidentiality or privacy rules as applicable
* Lead risk management and incident reporting.
Board Partnership & Governance
* Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors.
* Provide timely updates for informed Board decision-making.
* Support board development, strategic planning, and committee functioning.
* ED is a non-voting member of the Board.
Fundraising & Development
* Lead fundraising strategy and execution.
* Cultivate donor, foundation, and business relationships.
* Oversee grant writing and ensure timely reporting.
Communications & Community Engagement
* Serve as the public voice and ambassador of ARCNH.
* Oversee marketing and outreach across print, digital, and community channels.
* Strengthen ARCNH’s role across Souhegan Valley.
* Ensure staff represent ARCNH positively in the community.

Required Qualifications
* Leadership experience in nonprofit, recovery, human services, or community-based organizations.
* Supervisory or team leadership experience.
* Understanding of peer recovery philosophy and boundaries.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
* * Bachelors or Master’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, or similar field is preferred.
* Experience in financial management, budgeting, and oversight.
* Strong skills in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations.
* Familiarity with Souhegan Valley recovery systems.
* Knowledge of HIPAA and ethical peer practice.
* Experience supporting organizational growth.
* Lived experience in recovery (valued, not required).
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary $75,000–$85,000

Schedule & Work Location
* Full-time, in-person position with flexible schedule and some evening/weekend work.
* Some local travel required.
