Job Description for Parts and Inventory Coordinator
Parts Coordinator position is a Customer Service position; In this position the Coordinator will need to work in compliment to the Mechanics, Supervisors at ADICA Fleet Services. The primary function is to source parts needed for the repair orders.
The Parts Coordinator will need to need to learn vendor or manufacturer warranty guidelines and provide this information to customers when scheduling any service. Parts Coordinator must interact with mechanics, technicians, outside vendors and customer service representatives as well as external customers.
The typical work environment is indoors, and Parts Coordinators frequently use computers, telephones, and the Internet in their daily tasks. Service writers are required to sit, stand, and walk on a regular basis and may occasionally be asked to lift small items up to 50 pounds. Good Parts Coordinators will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient with computers, word processing programs, and the Internet. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability handle many responsibilities at once. A good Parts Coordinator has a high energy level with great focus and attention to detail. Parts Department experience is often preferred, though not always required. A valid driver's license is required, as service writers may occasionally move customer vehicles.
Parts Coordinator Tasks
- Work closely work with Management and Repair Technicians
- Work with ADICA Approved Parts Vendors
- Interface with customers over the phone, in person and via email
- Update Orders In the system
- Communicate and coordinate transactions
- Track repair status and fill out reports detailing orders and transactions
- Provide customer service and schedule service appointments.
- Ask owners questions and document needs on the company service program and required forms
