What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die Maintenance 2nd and 3rd Shift position at Adler Pelzer Group 1?
STS Group is seeking a motivated and committed Tooling Technicians for both 1st and 2nd shift at the manufacturing operation in Salem, Virginia - flexibility is required.
- Perform daily shop inspections and preventive maintenance
- Exposure to metal fabrication, welding (Stick, MIG and TIG)
- Ability to weld aluminum and steel
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner
- Comply with safety rules and company policies
- Set-Up and get molds ready for each mold change
- Maintain thermoplastic molds to ensure consistent quality, output and yield
- Complete daily mold change sheets and other required paperwork
- Complete/participate in any and all PPS activities as directed by Supervisors
- Communicate effectively with production team member, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure quality installation of molds
- Troubleshoot issues with the molds
- Perform preventive maintenance on injection mold tooling and prior to mold changes
- Trouble shoot any problems involved with mold changes
- Remove and install Hot Runner Service
- Support Engineers with tool design reviews on new builds
- Ability to determine feasibilities of engineering changes during design review
